The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is one of the most awaited cars of the year. From the beginning, rumors were going around about the engine in the next C8n generation Corvette, might move behind the seats. So it was presumed that the car would be a breakthrough, a revelation, and a revolution. As it is nowhere, it looks more like a Ferrari than a Corvette, with the same cabin-forward proportions as every hyper-fast, megadollar exotic in the market

Ø All-new exterior design

The mid-engine placement of the drivetrain has altered the proportions; however, the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray positions the cabin in the center of the car, which is why it has an f slightly longer nose than other cars using a similar layout. These proportions, along with signature styling nods like the sharply creased character lines, double roof bubble, split front intakes, and horizontal taillights, uphold a strong connection with previous generation Corvettes. Moreover, the Corvette coupe has got a removable roof panel for open-air driving. Further, the rear engine cover features a 3.22 mm-thick glass window, which is to show off the engine.

The C8 Corvette rides on a 107.2-inch wheelbase and measures 182.5 inches in overall length, which is an increase of 2.7 inches over the previous front-engine model. At 48.6 inches tall, 2020, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is virtually the same height as the car it replaces. Further, the Corvette rides on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Sport rubber. Moreover, the 2-seater tips the scales at 3,535 pounds. The disc brakes are made from Brembo with 4-piston calipers front and rear, respectively.

Ø All new and enhanced Interior design

The interior of the car features a twin cockpit layout with a center console that divides the driver and passenger seats with a long row of buttons, which are for the heated seats, climate controls, and other vehicle functions. Further, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is offered only with 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission; thus, the Corvette has small levers to select a drive and reverse, along with buttons engaging neutral and park.

There are two display screens, one a 12-inch configurable unit in the front of the driver and secondly a driver-oriented center touchscreen for infotainment. Moreover, the steering wheel is a squared-off design stimulated by racing cars. Further, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray offers the racers three styles of seats to be chosen, firstly a base GT1 design, second being a sportier GT2 version with high-density foam and the third option being a Competition Sport seat with aggressive bolstering, carbon fiber trim, and Nappa leather surfaces.

Yet Chevrolet says that the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray can accommodate up to two standard golf bags in the rear compartment.

Ø The new suspension

The new chassis made of aluminum provokes the use of coil-over shocks so that it can raise the nose 2 inches for speed bumps. Thus each time the nose is raised, the system asks the driver whether the location should be stored in the navigation. It is because then the car can automatically raise its nose at that location in the next round. This system can store up to 1,000 locations.

The new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is equipped with two new drive modes, bringing the total count to six. In addition to the traditional Sport, Weather, Tour, and Track modes, the 2020 model adds MyMode and Z Mode. The MyMode allows custom settings of the suspension and traction control. Whereas the Z Mode adds to the baseline of My Mode setup by adding the ability to program regulate response and show shift mapping.

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray boasts 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque from its redesigned LT2 small block engine. As Chevy says, the 2020 Corvette will be capable of 0-60 mph acceleration in less than 3 seconds when equipped with the Z51 performance package. Hence when it bumps maximum horsepower to 495, and it peaks the torque to 470 lb-ft.

So how much does this new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray beast cost?

It is seen that the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is offered in three different trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT.
So as Chevy had promised a starting base price less than $60,000, the base LT1 2020 Corvette Stingray is coming in at $59,995. Then the 2LT model is priced from $67,295. This 2LT comprises features like color head-up display, navigation, premium audio, and a performance data recorder. Finally, the top 3LT is priced, starting from $71,945. Besides, all these trims are priced, including $1,095 delivery.

However, the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray feels immensely different than what came before it. It is with a great steer and an insane value.
